Bucerías has few big resort hotels: most places to stay are small hotels, bungalows, suites and holiday rentals within a few blocks of the beach. If you want an all-inclusive or a large resort, Nuevo Vallarta and Flamingos are 10–15 minutes south, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle is 10 minutes west, and the luxury resorts of Punta de Mita are about half an hour away.
Below you will find which area suits whom, rough price bands, when to book, and 16 real properties across three budgets. For tours from each area, see our tours page; for transfers, see getting here.

These are rough guides, not quotes. Check current rates for your dates — prices can double over Christmas and Semana Santa.
When to book
- Christmas to New Year: book months ahead; the best beachfront rooms go first.
- January to March: high season with whales and wind — book several weeks ahead.
- Semana Santa (Easter): very popular with Mexican families; book early.
- May to October: low season — last-minute deals are common, but check that pools and restaurants are open.
